For this track, we are looking for sessions that will help attendees learn marketing, communications and engagement best practices to help drive fundraising, awareness and participation for your cause – or take a look at Blackbaud’s marketing tools, specifically Luminate Online, TeamRaiser, Luminate Advocacy, Attentive.ly, everydayhero, OmniPoint, Blackbaud NetCommunity and Blackbaud Internet Solutions. Topics might include improving your strategy and execution of campaigns through analysis of KPIs to drive higher responses, leveraging trends like crowdfundraising or social engagement to spread your message farther, running better peer-to-peer events or synthesizing digital and traditional channels to map the most effective supporter engagement.
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Track
NEW for 2017! The Peer-to-Peer Fundraising track contains sessions specifically tailored for nonprofit professionals interested in turning their supporters into fundraising advocates. From Run/Walk/Ride veterans with years of event experience to P2P rookies interested in dipping their toes in the P2P fundraising space for the first time, this track offers a wide range of strategies and tech best practices for everyone interested in quickly evolving world of crowdsourced fundraising. We hope you’ll come spend some time with the most interesting speakers at bbcon.
Sector Trends & Management Track
If you are looking to further your knowledge of the philanthropic and social good sector or hone your professional skills, this track is for you. Sessions in this track will provide thought-provoking topics to help you improve your skills, stay on top of the biggest trends in social good, and benchmark your organization against the giving sector at large.
Corporations & Foundations Track
The Corporations and Foundations track will encompass a spectrum of content, from big-picture ideas to change-making trends to let’s-make-this-happen best practices around maximizing your technology investment. If you’re a corporate giving & employee engagement professional, grantmaker, foundation leader, grant recipient or donor, this is the track for you. We’ve designed the sessions in the Corporations and Foundations track to focus on supercharging your outcomes and impact, enhancing your ability to engage employees and grant partners, harnessing the power of data and technology to achieve your mission, leveraging collaborative and collective funding, understanding the opportunities and implications of global initiatives, and so much more.
Program Management and Service Delivery Track
Delivering your mission is priority A1 – and these sessions are designed to help you deliver your mission more efficiently and understand your impact through technology and a symbiotic partnership with fundraising, business development, and volunteers. Topics will cover volunteer management, grant & scholarship management, activism and grassroots, and program management.
This track will cover techniques, processes, solutions and success stories around data analytics/big data/artificial intelligence used to help increase revenue year-over-year, build a loyal and active constituent base and improve fundraising ideas and program performance. Topics could be around increasing response rates for annual fund direct mail programs, trying to find and quantify new major donor prospects, reviewing past campaign performance trends by donor groups, or database hygiene practices.
Arts & Cultural Track
This track will focus on business issues and solutions for arts and cultural organizations. We are looking for sessions to be led by thought leaders, consultants, influencers and working professionals from the arts industry, and, of course, arts organizations themselves. Topics could consist of strategies to inspire arts funding in your community, grow membership programs, convert ticket buyers into donors and maximize technology. We are also looking for power users of Blackbaud technology, including Altru and Raiser’s Edge, to share their skills and best practices.
Education Institutions Track
This track will cover best practices, solutions, industry expertise and success stories specifically for Educational institutions, inclusive of Higher Education and K-12 schools. Key areas of focus will be on engaging students, alumni and supporters across the entire lifecycle of their involvement with your educational institution. Topics include engaging alumni and supporters, trying to find and quantify new major donor prospects, student enrollment solutions and trends, scholarship management solutions and trends, digital marketing and social engagement, increasing response rates for annual fund giving programs and data analysis and benchmarking.
Financial Management Track
The Financial Solutions track focuses covers a broad range of financial topics including product updates, thought leadership, best practices and market trends for nonprofit finance and accounting. Geared toward CFOs, Controllers, financial leaders and their staff members, sessions in this track should be focused on providing meaningful insights for financial leaders, primarily around accounting concepts, that can help social good organizations become more efficient in their reporting and operations. Key topic areas include: GAAP and policy updates, internal controls, financial reporting, general ledger design, cloud technology use, cash management, budgeting, and other social good organization relevant financial topics including technologies and customer stories/case studies to illustrate these topics.
Fundraising & CRM Track
For this track, we are looking for sessions that will help attendees learn fundraising and constituent relationship management (CRM) best practices or see outcomes with Blackbaud’s fundraising management tools specifically eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate CRM, and Blackbaud CRM. We encourage you to submit success stories associated with the aforementioned solutions. We are also interested in sessions that aren’t product specific and those topics might include how organizations can develop deeper supporter relationships, manage processes, drive user adoption or implement these solutions to drive greater efficiencies and help organizations reach fundraising and program management objectives.
New for 2017! These sessions will cover the latest healthcare trends, best practices, solutions, and industry expertise specifically for foundations. Topics include data analytics and strategies including patient conversion and grateful patient programs; organizational and change leadership; physician involvement and its impact on donor support; community wealth ratings influence on fundraising; marketing tools and social engagement techniques. Taking part in this track will equip you with takeaways that can immediately be applied within your healthcare nonprofit.
